Since the launch of TEAM OKI, the youth have hosted successful blood drives, participated in a clean up at the Sunabe Seawall, a Battle of the bands event, preparedness events and presented several scrubby bear skits to teach hygiene to elementary students.
Students meet once a month in our main office on Camp Foster to plan an event to help their community. Over the next few weeks they come in and work together to turn that plan into reality! We are so excited to see what they continue to come up with and we hope you can join them!
Youth volunteers will need a copy of the Waiver and Confidentiality Agreement signed by a parent or guardian, available online on Volunteer Connection.
Mission Statement: As members of TEAM Oki, we will contribute back to the community, increase Red Cross visibility, and promote teen volunteerism while improving in leadership, team work, and communication.
The Red Cross Club - TEAM OKI - meets at:
Kubasaki High School in the library twice a month.
The next scheduled meeting is December 4th @ 2:30 - 3:30pm.
The age requirements for youth volunteers is 13-17 yrs of age, including home school students.
